I would say that the french rivera, especially Nice, is a lot more fun for young people. On the italian side, the most popular riveara towns are Porto Fino, Camogli, Nervi, Arenzano and San Remo.

The rail line runs through all the major towns and you can have great fun having breakfast in Nice, lunch in St Tropez or Cannes and dinner in Monte Carlo – all on a low price rail ticket.
