Can you help me plan a trip to Italy and France?

    Look into the San Marino area…that’s lovely. Also…I love Switzerland and Lake Como side of Italy if you haven’t done that… that train from Milan to Zurich is probably the prettiest train ride in the world.

    The French Riviera is lovely, though mid September might be still very hot. If you all hire a car why not go from the French Riviera down to the Italian one or vice verse? You will find plenty of night life and sunny beaches but you do need to reserve hotels and you will be going in the high season and also you said you are a “bunch” whatever this means in numbers.
    Other than that you might like to go to the Northern part of Italy to see the lakes? (Maj ore, Como and Garda) and have a day or two
    to explore the Italian Alps? You can also decide you prefer France and tour not only the Riviera but Provance etc. The possibilities are wide open.
